Weddings, Obese people on TV and Weight Loss

As I have previously mentioned I am working out in order to get ready for my up coming wedding, obviously whilst typing this I have a brew and Hob Nob cookies but that is by-the-by. Anyway, I have been hitting the gym like a sad bastard and listening to a lot iPod shuffle.

A by-product of this weight loss is that I have been watching a lot of shows in which fat people run in order to be… less fat… on the TV. Shows like The Biggest Loser (US and Australian variants curiously not the British version) and both the UK and US version of Obese: A Year to Save My Life. The premise is the same and they make obese people cry, which always strikes me as rather cruel. The shows may serve to inspire the viewer or give them a cheap half hours TV. They may serve to highlight the obesity epidemic or to reaffirm prejudices. As the man says on Fat Families “Eat less and move more”.

In wedding news it is 21 weeks and all is progressing rapidly and relatively on track. Plus we have sorted the Honeymoon. So, yay.
